Access to Full Commercial License

All registered participants will receive a commercial trial license of ProtaStructure Suite 2026, valid until end ofย  November 2025. This allows you to practice every workflow covered during the training โ€” including modeling, analysis, detailing, reporting, and BIM export โ€” with the full capabilities of the software, not a limited educational version.

You can continue using the license after the live sessions to repeat exercises, finish your own test projects, or evaluate ProtaStructure for real projects before purchasing.

This training is part of Prota Softwareโ€™s Official Training Series, designed for civil and structural engineers worldwide.
Participants will learn to design, analyze, and document reinforced concrete structures confidently โ€” from project setup to final detailing. Moreover, the sessions emphasize practical applications and real project workflows.

What Youโ€™ll Learn

This live training covers the complete reinforced concrete (RC) design workflow โ€” from the first model setup to the final engineering drawings โ€” using ProtaStructure 2026 and ProtaDetails.
Every topic below will be demonstrated step-by-step, with key points highlighted to ensure a smooth and accurate process.

1. Introduction and Project Setup in ProtaStructure

You will begin by learning how to navigate the ProtaStructure interface. The session starts with an introduction to the file system, welcome page, and project templates. Youโ€™ll see how to start a new project, open an existing one, and explore the Settings Center in detail. In addition, youโ€™ll learn how to insert axes precisely to define your project layout.
These initial steps provide the foundation for all further modeling and design work.

2. Starting the Modelling Process

Once your project is set, youโ€™ll begin the modeling phase. You will learn to use external reference drawings effectively and how to import DXF files to support accurate geometry creation. Afterward, a step-by-step modeling process will be demonstrated, showing how each member type fits into your structure. Moreover, youโ€™ll gain an understanding of how model accuracy affects later stages such as analysis and detailing.

3. Modelling and Editing Structural Members

In this section, youโ€™ll explore all major RC members in detail. Youโ€™ll learn how to model columns and adjust their properties, including slanted columns and wall members. Different support types will be assigned to simulate realistic boundary conditions. Next, youโ€™ll see how to create walls, manage wall parameters, and connect them seamlessly with beams and slabs.
The training continues with beam modeling and property management, followed by modeling all slab types for different structural configurations. Furthermore, youโ€™ll understand how to edit, modify, and update members as your project evolves.

4. Load Assignment and Management

After modeling, youโ€™ll move to the load definition phase โ€” a crucial step in RC design. You will learn how to assign member loads using the Load Editor, and how to create and manage load cases, load combinations, and user-defined load cases. Moreover, the session explains FE load decomposition for advanced analysis precision.
Different types of environmental and structural loads will also be covered, including wind loads, snow loads, soil lateral pressures, and seismic loads with parameter settings. By the end of this part, youโ€™ll be able to control and verify all load inputs effectively.

5. Storey Operations and Structural Organization

Efficient modeling of multi-storey buildings requires proper storey management. Youโ€™ll learn how to insert, replicate, and remove storeys, and how to edit storey parameters for better structural coordination. In addition, youโ€™ll explore how to define similar storeys to save time while maintaining accuracy across repetitive levels.

6. Analysis and Validation

Once modeling and loading are complete, youโ€™ll perform both FE Floor Analysis and Building Analysis using ProtaStructureโ€™s integrated solvers. The session explains how to review analysis results, interpret deflections, and verify the accuracy of your model. Youโ€™ll also learn how to check for modeling errors and correct inconsistencies before proceeding to design. Consequently, this step ensures structural reliability and compliance with code requirements.

7. Design and Reporting

Youโ€™ll then move to the design stage, where youโ€™ll use ProtaStructureโ€™s tools to design RC members such as beams, columns, slabs, and walls. In addition, youโ€™ll design all foundation types โ€” including isolated, combined, raft, and pile foundations โ€” based on international codes. Youโ€™ll also explore how to use the Report Manager to generate, review, and export detailed design reports. Each design decision will be discussed, helping you understand why certain parameters and checks are applied.

8. Detailing and Documentation in ProtaDetails

After completing the design phase, the training continues in ProtaDetails. Youโ€™ll learn how to produce all model details and create custom drawing sheets for professional documentation. This includes generating formwork plans, column and wall schedules, column elevation details, column application plans, and beam elevation details.
Moreover, youโ€™ll discover how to use the Design Library and Detail Library to speed up repetitive tasks.
The session also introduces intelligent rebar tools, reinforcement quantification, and best practices for accurate rebar management. Finally, youโ€™ll learn how to edit engineering drawings and export them in multiple formats for construction use.

By the end of this training, youโ€™ll have mastered every major step of the RC design workflow โ€” from modeling and analysis to detailing and documentation.

More importantly, youโ€™ll understand how to make the right decisions at each stage, ensuring efficient, reliable, and code-compliant designs every time.
