Performance Enhancements in Modelling and Graphics Editor

With the ProtaStructure, modeling has become 10 times faster, particularly for large floor plans. Moreover, significant visual enhancements provide better lighting, shadowing, and overall graphical presentation in the editor, creating a smoother user experience.

New ProtaSteel Macros, Reports, and Improvements in ProtaStructure SP4 Update

The update introduces new macros, such as the truss seating connection and beam-to-beam angle cleat connection, which allow users to create a wider variety of connection types. Additionally, ProtaSteel now supports all element types for beam-to-beam, truss, and gusset plate connections. New connection reports further enhance usability.

Expanded US Design Codes

The ProtaStructure Update adds flexibility by supporting multiple US design codes, including ACI318 2008, 2011, and 2014 versions. As a result, engineers can confidently handle projects adhering to American standards.

Enhanced Purlin Creation and Placement

One of the highlights of the ProtaStructure SP4 Update is the improvement in purlin modeling. You can now easily create purlins between truss top chords and beams. Furthermore, expanded placement options allow for better modeling of angular, straight, or differently sized trusses and beams.

Quick Object Snap Options in Truss Insertion with ProtaStructure SP4 Update

The ProtaStructure SP4 Update introduces quick snap options, enabling engineers to snap to other truss joints during insertion. This feature significantly reduces modeling time while improving accuracy.

Drift Checks for US Codes in ProtaStructure SP4 Update

Inter-story drift checks for seismic loads are now automated in compliance with ASCE, UBC, SNI, and NSCP codes. Drift limits are automatically determined; however, users can also customize them to meet specific project needs.

3D PDF Model Sharing

The ProtaStructure introduces the ability to share models in 3D PDF format. This feature provides seamless communication for engineers and BIM professionals, making project collaboration more efficient than ever.
