Prota Supported the 5th International Earthquake Engineering and Seismology Conference as a Platinum Sponsor

Annually organized by Earthquake Engineering Association of Turkey (EEAT), this year’s International Conference on Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (ICEES) was hosted by Middle East Technical University (METU) on 8-11 of October, 2019.

Prota sponsored the event as a platinum sponsor and showcased its technology solutions at the main hall of the event area. The event gathered researchers, professors, experts, governing bodies and private sector companies from all over the globe discussing new concepts, procedures and technologies in earthquake engineering.

Several panels and forums held where keynote speakers were exchanging ideas on distinct topics such as new generation specifications for performance-based seismic engineering and new technologies, different applications of different methods in several countries, seismic safety technologies, benefits and shortcomings of seismic isolation solutions.

On the last day of the conference, a special workshop with a dinner was held honoring the retirement of one of METU’s most reputable Earthquake Engineering Professor, Dr. Haluk Sucuoglu. Distinguished international researchers, Peter Fajfar, Michele Calvi and Michael N. Fardis Khalid also attended the event and gave compelling talks for their colleagues and his brilliant accomplishments throughout his academic career.
