Successful Participation of Prota Software at Sripatum University (SPU) Training Program

As part of this ongoing effort, Prota Software and its Thailand partner AppliCAD recently delivered an interactive ProtaStructure training at Sripatum University (SPU). The program aimed to equip civil engineering students with fundamental skills in seismic-resistant design and modern structural analysis.

Empowering the Next Generation of Structural Engineers

Prota Software is pleased to share the success of its ProtaStructure Training Program held at Sripatum University in Bangkok, Thailand. The sessions took place on October 1, 8, and 15, 2025.

During the training, civil engineering students explored the fundamentals of earthquake-resistant structural design through hands-on practice and digital modeling.

Moreover, the program encouraged students to apply theoretical concepts using modern software tools, helping them connect academic knowledge with real-world engineering practice.

Bringing Structural Design to the Classroom

The training was led by Mr. Kittiphong Niamsoowan, Senior Structural Engineer at AppliCAD Public Company Limited, Prota Software’s official partner in Thailand.
Throughout the sessions, students learned key principles of seismic design, structural analysis, and BIM-based modeling using ProtaStructure.

In addition, they participated in both theoretical and practical exercises. These sessions provided valuable experience in modeling and analyzing reinforced concrete and steel structures.
As a result, students developed a clearer understanding of safe, efficient, and code-compliant design practices — a crucial step for their future careers.

The interactive format and real project examples received excellent feedback. Consequently, the training highlighted the growing importance of software-driven design education in Thailand.

ProtaStructure 2026 Highlighted During SPU Training Program

The SPU training sessions were conducted using ProtaStructure 2026 (v9.0.309), the latest version of Prota Software’s flagship BIM solution, which had been released earlier this year.

This update introduces major enhancements that simplify workflows and improve productivity. For instance, it offers faster model generation, enhanced interoperability with BIM and CAD platforms, and broader global code support.

Therefore, engineers can now design more accurately and efficiently than ever before.
These innovations also reinforce Prota Software’s mission to empower engineers through cutting-edge technology and to advance safer, smarter, and more sustainable design practices. Following the software demonstrations, the training also connected classroom concepts with real-world engineering practices.

From Classroom to Real Projects: Prota Software Project Gallery

As part of the training, students explored examples from the Prota Software Project Gallery. These showcased how ProtaStructure supports the design of real-world seismic-resistant and high-performance structures across the globe.

Moreover, they learned how engineers use ProtaStructure for high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and educational facilities.
Each project demonstrated how innovation, precision, and automation enhance the quality and safety of structural design.
