Thai Engineers Unite in Phuket for a Hands-On Structural Design Workshop with ProtaStructure 2026 & IDEA StatiCa

The engineering community in Thailand came together on 1–2 November 2025 for a highly focused, practical design workshop hosted at Phuket Technical College. Organized in collaboration with AppliCAD, Prota Software, and IDEA StatiCa, the two-day event brought structural engineers, academics, and young professionals into the same room for an intensive learning experience combining seismic RC design workflows and steel connection detailing.

With growing demand for faster, safer, and code-compliant structural design across Southeast Asia, engineers are looking for software that not only accelerates the design process but also fully supports international standards. This workshop provided exactly that — a practical, guided environment where participants could model, analyze, and detail real-world structures using ProtaStructure Suite 2026 and verify steel connections through IDEA StatiCa, step by step.
