How to Design RC Structures with the ProtaStructure 2026 Suite
Elevate Your Structural Design Skills with ProtaStructure Suite Private Training Sets
To accelerate structural design workflows and reduce project errors, engineers need to master the software they use every day. For this reason, we offer three private training sets built around the ProtaStructure Suite. These practical programs cover reinforced concrete and steel design workflows in a structured and professional format. In addition, if required, we can deliver each training set in two separate editions: Basic and Advanced.
What Do the Private Training Sets Offer?
Our private training packages address the real needs of structural engineers, design teams, and technical coordinators. Each set focuses on a specific workflow and helps participants build stronger project delivery skills with the ProtaStructure Suite.
- Private Training Set #1: Focuses on reinforced concrete design. It teaches how to design RC structures with the ProtaStructure Suite by using ProtaStructure, ProtaDetails, and ProtaBIM.
- Private Training Set #2: Focuses on steel design workflows. It shows participants how to design steel structures with the ProtaStructure Suite by using ProtaStructure, ProtaSteel, and ProtaBIM.
- Private Training Set #3: Covers both RC and steel design workflows in one integrated program. This comprehensive set includes ProtaStructure, ProtaSteel, ProtaDetails, and ProtaBIM.
Spotlight: RC Structure Design Training (Private Training Set #1)
This training demonstrates the complete reinforced concrete design process in detail, starting from structural modeling and continuing through analysis, detailing, and drawing production. As a result, participants learn how to create a reliable and efficient RC workflow from the beginning of the project to the final documentation stage.
Structural Modeling and Analysis in ProtaStructure
First, the training introduces the file system, welcome page, and main user interface of ProtaStructure. Then, participants move step by step through the core stages of building a solid RC model.
- Start a new project, use templates, and define axes
- Work with external reference drawings and DXF import
- Model key structural elements such as columns, slanted columns, walls, beams, and all slab types
- Manage storey operations, including inserting, replicating, removing, and defining similar storeys
After the geometric model is complete, the training moves into loading and analysis. Since accurate analysis depends on correct load definition, the program explains how to assign and manage structural loads in a clear and practical way.
Participants learn how to work with:
- Load combinations
- Wind loads
- Snow loads
- Soil lateral loads
- Seismic loads and seismic parameters
Next, participants run FE Floor Analysis and Building Analysis. They also review the key analysis results and understand how these outputs support the design process. Therefore, the training helps engineers build stronger control over both modeling logic and structural behavior.
Detailing and Drafting in ProtaDetails
Once the analysis stage is complete, the training shifts to detailing and drawing production in ProtaDetails. At this stage, participants learn how to transform the analytical model into clear, coordinated, and professional engineering documentation.
This module covers:
- Creating formwork plans
- Inserting custom sheets
- Generating column and wall schedules
- Producing column elevation details and column application plans
- Creating beam elevation details
- Using the Design Library and Detail Library
- Working with intelligent rebars and quantification tools
- Managing engineering drawings and exporting final documentation
In addition, the training highlights the practical points that users need to watch during daily project work. This approach not only teaches commands and tools, but also shows how to maintain a smooth and controlled workflow. As a result, participants improve documentation quality, reduce drafting errors, and produce drawings more efficiently.
Why This Private RC Training Matters
RC projects often lose time because teams separate modeling, analysis, and detailing into disconnected steps. However, when engineers follow a structured workflow inside the ProtaStructure Suite, they can reduce coordination problems and improve output quality. For that reason, this training does more than explain software features. It teaches a complete engineering workflow that supports speed, accuracy, and consistency.
